The Children’s Museum’s board of trustees represents Indianapolis’s best civic and corporate leaders, as well as community members from neighborhoods all over the city. These outstanding citizens have collectively given countless hours of their time and millions of dollars in donations and in-kind services in support of the museum. Four of these individuals have agreed to lead the Extraordinary Transformations campaign:
James D. Bremner
Current president of The Children’s Museum’s board of trustees and a member of the executive committee, James Bremner is a retired member of Duke Realty’s healthcare team. He is a graduate of Purdue University and a licensed real estate broker.
Philip C. Genetos
The former chairman of The Children’s Museum’s board of trustees, Philip C. Genetos is an attorney representing clients in Indiana, Illinois, and other areas on matters of housing, airports, industrial development, municipal gas utility, ports, and 501(c)(3) bonds. He is a graduate of Cornell (BA) and Indiana University (MBA and JD).
Jamie P. Merisotis
Vice chairman of The Children’s Museum’s board of trustees and chairman of its investment committee, Jamie P. Merisotis is president and CEO of Lumina Foundation, the nation’s largest private foundation committed solely to enrolling and graduating more students from college. The founding president of the Institute for Higher Education Policy, he also helped create the Corporation for National and Community Service (AmeriCorps).
A graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, Allison Steck is an Associate Broker with the F.C. Tucker Company in Indianapolis and is Immediate Past President of The Children’s Museum Guild.
A graduate of Butler University, Heather Bice is a pharmacist for Walgreens in Indianapolis and is President of The Children’s Museum Guild.
